Details: Born in France in 1951, Régis Loisel made his debut in 1971 in the main French weeklies. In 1982, the heroic-fantastic series "La quete de l'Oiseau du Temp" began on the pages of Charlie magazine, which would become a best-seller. Between 1990 and 2004 he adapted the "Peter Pan" series. He currently lives in Quebec and in 2003 he received the grand prix of the city of Angoulême. Jean-Louis Tripp was born in 1958 in France, he made his debut in Metal Hurlant magazine in '77. Screenwriter, illustrator and colorist, he participates in numerous comic series to later devote himself to sculpture and illustrations for children. He also lives in Quebec where he teaches at the university. The book Characterized by strong and generous characters, this series deals with a peasant community in Quebec in the 1940s: a universe that is both tender and rough, which marked the beginning of a fruitful collaboration between Tripp and Loisel. Serge is the second part of this trilogy, created with four hands, which reflects the pleasure of the two authors in working together dedicating themselves to the graphic aspect: one with pencils, the other with ink.
